how can I exercise during periods?

I am worried that the pad and panty rubbing against my body can cause a rash.Should I use a loose panty ?I am afraid that tampons can cause infection .What can I do to avoid rash?

Tampons are very effective if you want to exercise, run, swim..thats whats good about them. They don't usually call infection from what i know. I use them and have never had one. Maybe if you leave them in for long periods at a time and dont get into the habit of changing them when you should..then i can see an infection happening. If you are going to exercise during your period pads are not the thing to use. they just get in the way. i would try to use a tampon, you might like them! and im sure you will find they are much easier to exercise in than pads.

When I was in the Army, and was exercising often (both as training and in my daily duties) it was always tampons. They are better than anything, especially if the exercise is strenuous.
