long story but I have had a recurrent UTI. I am resistant to meds like Bactrim and Cipro. I've been to the doctor a few times but it was very expensive and complete waste of money (that's when they kept prescribing bactrim). What UTI meds are strong and show little resistance?
is doxycycline effective for UTIs? I went on this for just a few weeks when I was 12 or so and had acne, I remember thinking it was pretty effective.
Someone in here is going to reccommend that you drink lots of unsweetened cranberry juice or take cranberry pills along with your meds. So, I figured I'd go ahead and do it for them! ;o) Give that a whirl and see if it helps (if you haven't already tried it.)

I'm not sure what to tell you. The more often you take an antibiotic, the more likely it becomes that you're grow resistant to it. I don't know that it means you're resistant to a lot of drugs.. just those two. As far as whether or not it's common, again, no idea. I guess it depends how many people have taken them enough to grow resistant.
