Re: Babydawl...dont give up

I'm new on here & have read all your problems with yeast. I have the same problems with yeast & have for years. My Doctor told me that Herpes Simplex 2 Can Have The Same Symptoms As Yeast. I know you said you have been tested, however with herpes, you have to request a blood test specifically for that. There is a Privacy Act & that is why. Unless you have a breakout to where a Dr. Can See It a Dr. cannot diagnose you have Herpes or not. But I do know that Herpes Can Give You The Same Feeling that you would if you had Yeast Infection. Just Look Into It. I see that your going through alot more then you should. My Yeast Is In My Digestive Tract & I Can't Seem to get Rid of it.... Thanks and Good Luck Pamm

Re: Yeast Infection & RepHresh

Has Anyone On Here Experienced Yeast In Their Digestive Trac? Constipation/Bloating? I Can't Get Rid Of It, I've Been Taking Liquid Fungus Medicine Nyastatin & I feel Like I have the Flu. I read it might be because the Yeast are dying off. I don't know, but if anyone has experienced the yeast in your mouth and in your stomach let me know please. And if anything has helped you. I would be gracious! I do know My Ph Is Very Acidic, How Do I get It Up. I know that the Yeast Feeds off Acidic Bodies. And If the Yeast Is Dying off where does it go? Thanks Pamm

Re: Yeast Infection & RepHresh

pam did you happen to be on yasmine pill? you sound like my sister did- she swore it was from yasmine. I have a question for you about the herpes- i went to the doc on monday and she said she saw yeast-(which I also see in my undies) and sent it out to see what strain it is. if it was "herpes" would there be excessive yeast? I guess I don't understand the correlation between the 2- I don't feel that I have herpes- but I am paranoid by nature and you're freaking me out. Does herpes cause yeast infections? does herpes cause yeast?

Thank You For Responding, No I'm not on the Yasmine Pill, Never have been. Yeast Doesn't Cause Herpes. You Can Get Herpes By Being Intimate W/t Someone Who has it, Or The Tanning Bed, There are lots of ways you can get it. I've been doing Research on Both for 12 Years. What happens is the Herpes Virus Attacks Your Immune System Causing you to have all of these problems & One being Chronic Yeast Infections. If You Have Taking Antibiotics You Will Get A Yeast Infection. If You Wear A Wet bathing Suit for too long you get one. Having Herpes Virus Causes Blisters on Your Buttocks & Or Vagina & Fever Blisters. What I said was when I Complained All The Time Of Having Yeast Infection Symptoms, The Doctor said that Herpes Virus May Be What Was Causing The Symptoms. Because Herpes & Yeast Infection Have 98% Of the Same Symptoms. Such as Burning Private Parts, Tenderness around your Bladder Area & Even Discharge. Be Sure & Do Your Research. I didn't Mean To Freak You Out. Don't Worry I don't think you have the Virus. If You Get Tested For Herpes You Have To Specifically Ask For A Blood Test For That. Try This Test To See If You Have A Yeast Infection: A Clear Glass With Water In It, Set it next to your toothbrush, when you get up in the morning, before you brush or drink anything, gather your saliva together In Your Mouth & spit into the glass of water. Dont move the glass, within 5 to 10 minutes bend down and look through the glass and if you see like strings (legs)coming from you saliva or if its cloudy or if it sinks then most likely you have a yeast infection. If It Floats & Doesn't do anything, then you don't. This Test Is Very Accurate..I Know Its Gross But The Cheapest Way To Find Out! Goodluck!

Hi,

I have suffered from chronic constipation for 5 years, it suddenly started out of the blue for no reason. I had a bowel xray which found nothing and the bottom line is my doctors have dissmed my condition as a sluggish gut. Apart from not going to the toilet, I also suffered form bloating and feeling extremely tired and generally unwell. I sought alternative therapy and was recommended by a friend to see an Kinesologist who tests for intolerances. It was found that I had a high Candida count in my gut which was combatted by starving the fungus by avoiding foods which contain sugar and yeast. A lot of other intolerances showed up like milk (dairy products, cheese etc). Apart from keeping off things that contained sugars and yeast I also avoided dairy products, wheat. The effect was quite dramatic to begin with, my energy levels went sky high; one side effect was a big drop in my weight, from 11 st to 10 st. Some people thought I was on my way out but I perserved with it and eventually after about a year I managed to clear my gut of candida which seemed to clear a lot of my other intolerance apart from dairy products and wheat. Although there was an improvement in my condition, the whole process was a roller coaster ride and at present I have reverted back to being chronically constipated again. I managed to get my normal weight back again after about 18 months but as soon as that happened I became chronically constipated again, even though I avoid sugar, yeast, wheat and dairy products in m diet. I totally rely on colonics each month to clear my gut in order to avoid a build of bad things in my gut including candida. I was recently on holiday when during one week my weight dropped down to my normal weight of 11st ( I am currently and have been around 11.5 to 11.75 stone). The odd thing was when I dropped down to 11st I was more or less able to go to the to toilet again, in fact I thought I was getting better, however, it was only short lived, after about 5 days my weight shot back to 11.7 st and I couldn't go to the toilet again. So is there a correlation between weight and constipation - has anyone experienced this ??.

I take a daily vitamin tablet plus a garlic capsule which I have been told is a good candida killer and should help to keep the gut clear of candida (yeast).

I think food is a major part in some gut disorders - don't eat rubbish, avoid additives and colourings and try to eat organically as possible. It helped me to begin with but I still suffer. I know something is not right but the doctors don't seemed bothered about me.

I am saving up some money for an MRI scan of my gut because my doctors won't give me another examination. Also saw a specialist who just said to me that in his opinion there was nothing wrong with my gut and that I have a functional bowel problem for which there is no cure or any operation. I would totally accept this if he had given me a thorough bowel examination or performed some other tests.

I am wondering if an under active thyroid could be the cause of my problem - any opinions ??.

Another thing to try is the Hay diet which might help.

Regards
Morsekey

Re: Yeast infection in digestive tract.

Any type of birth control pill can cause yeast infection. You can pass a yeast through sex. Not only can you catch it but his sperm can change the pH balance in your vagina and start the beginning of a yeast infection.

I've been watching Oprah lately and she has had some great doctors on her show. A person asked about yeast and douching the response was are you sure you are having recurrent "infections" or are you treating normal secretions? My first reaction was if I'm itchy and stuff then yes I much have one. The doc said it wasn't uncommon for women to confuse normal secretions with an infection. Secretions are healthy, and may become heavy when your vagina is shedding its skin and cleansing itself.

She advised women to decrease sugars, simple carbohydrates and alcohol, not to wear cotton underwear to bed, no thongs, limit wearing pantyhose,
eating one serving of plain yogurt each day, taking acidophilus and garlic supplements, NO douching along with the other things we already know to avoid.

Another guest doctor called the vagina a self-cleaning oven and the bacteria you have in there is supposed to be there. When we wash them out by douching then you're left with repopulating the vagina with whatever germs or bacteria that happens to be nearby. Douching does not prevent infection and may cause problems by destroying useful bacteria in the vagina which help keep the area healthy. When the healthy balance of bacteria is messed up from stress, poor diet, hygiene problems, medical problems, medications, some bacteria or yeast may overgrow and cause an infection.

Women who get thrush again and again more than four times a year is considered recurrent, sometimes are given pessaries as prevention. Pessaries is taken either twice a week, once a week or once a month over a three to six month period.

If you have a yeast infection and douche that can lead BV. It all depends on the ph and bacteria balance in the vagina. Our pH balance changes on its own during the course of the month when we douche have sex take pills antibiotics, medicine, etc it throws it off even more

I don't get them much but when I do I don't use anything but plain yogurt on the outside to stop the itching and acidophilus in pill form to eventually stop it on the inside.

For the build of it in the digestive track a whole body detox is need. You can do probiotics or another like the Master Cleanser. There are a few threads on people with digestive yeast and the types of detox they did to rid them on these boards. The search engine at the top of the page will help you locate them.

Good Luck!

An underactive Thyroid can certainly cause all of the
problems you describe. Get it checked.
