Hi! I've been trying to research some symptoms that I've been having and keep coming back to these two being likely possibilities. Sorry if this ends up being long...

First of all, I'm married and have HPV but no other STDs. I had the Mirena IUD put in last year around this time.

About 3 weeks ago I started having a pink, watery discharge. I only noticed it when I went to the bathroom and would see it on the toilet paper, but it was coming from my vagina, not my urethra. Anyway, I didn't have any pain with it. It stopped almost a week ago. (Can't tell you when my last period was because they've pretty much ceased with the Mirena).

About 1-2 weeks ago I started noticing that my abdomen was very big. It was just like it blew up overnight and felt kind of firm.

Last week I started having pain with intercourse and needing to urinate often. When my husband and I have sex, it hurts deep inside and also really aggravates my bladder.

I've had kidney stones before and last week also started having back pain that I associate with those, so I finally made an appointment with the doctor.

The doctor did a pelvic and said that I had yellowish discharge, which probably indicates infection. He also felt that my uterus was swollen on the right side. I had pain on the right side when he pressed on the outside of my abdomen as well.

There was no blood in my urine, so he didn't feel there was a kidney stone. My bloodwork showed a normal white blood cell count, and enlarged red blood cells. Not pregnant, and tested for STDs.

He put me on Cipro and Zithromax for 3 days in case of infection. Well, I finished the antibiotics this morning and still feel crummy. My lower left back really hurts and I'm crampy in my lower abdomen. I did feel like it went down some after I started the meds, but it's big again tonight. It really hurts if I press on my abdomen, especially on the right side and I get pain and aches down my left leg some. I've also had some nausea off and on, but that could be because of the meds.

I've got a follow-up appointment Thurs. but was wondering, shouldn't I feel some relief by now? Any similar stories or ideas of what I might have?
