What does it mean when u have discharge that is like a clear gel type? I cant explain it because my friend told me she had it but i preferred not to look even though we are very close. the only thing i could tell her was about a yeast infection. Now she's ****ed at me because she thinks im not telling her something important. Like she's dying and im not telling her. I cant believe she's acting this way. If she doesnt know how can i know. Can someone tell me what you think and how to talk to her without hurting her feelings. please.

A clear discharge is often normal. It tends to appear more heavily toward the middle of a woman's cycle, and, just like tears in your eyes, it's your body's way of keeping the vagina clean and lubricated.

Yeast infections cause discharge that is thick and white, and generally very uncomfortable.

If your friend doesn't have any pain or itching, it's probably nothing. If she is uncomfortable, she should see a doctor.

If she's sexually active, or she's been having her period for several years, and this just suddenly started out of nowhere, there might possibly be a problem.

Tell her to take a mirror and look at herself. If she's healthy, it'll be a nice pink like the inside of your mouth.

ok thanks alot but now , how do i tell her u know that its nothing. I mean i told her it's maybe nothing but she say's that she know its something and i just dont want to tell her cause i want her to be sick. Please help!

Take her to the library or the bookstore and get a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It will help explain the difference between normal discharge and the kind that requires medical attention. It will also hopefully explain a lot about things that you may not be aware of, too.

She thinks you are deliberately withholding information from you? That's a little... odd. Does she usually act this way? Or is there something else going on? Maybe you should ask her just why she's so upset about this.
