Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome or is it all in my head?

According to everyone, it's all in my head. Nevermind that I haven't had my period in 4 months, gained huge amounts of weight in my middle area...mostly tummy, have skin tags under my arms, am constantly tired, depressed and ridden with headaches.

From what I know of PCOS, these are signs of it. I have a bad history with ovarian cysts in general. I had two grapefruit sized cysts on my ovaries this past May and they grew to that size with in 3 months. After having them surgically removed, my periods were normal untill about 4 months ago.

I know I'm not pregnant (my doctor tested me and I did as well) but he won't even examine me to see if I do have PCOS. He says it's all in my head. My blood work tells me that my thyroid is normal and my hormones are as well. So i don't know what's going on. All I know is this is painfull and it's not all in my head.

Does anyone who has experience with PCOS have any advice on any of this?

Thank you so much!

-Jenn

I have PCOS, yet my bloodwork always comes back normal. I was diagnosed by symptoms and ultrasound. If he is unwilling to help you, I would go see another Dr. Good luck!
