Bartholin Cyst?

Hi all,

It's been a while since I've visited this site.....I'm glad it's still here! Anyway, my question is, has anyone ever had a Bartholin Cyst? If so, how big was it? What did it like? Where exactly was it located?

I think it's possible that I may have one but I'm looking to see if others have too.

Thanks

Re: Bartholin Cyst?

HI CURRIER MOM: I hope that you read this. YES!! YES!! I have had my Bartholins gland cyst removed. One night I was going potty and I just had a baby a month prior and I noticed a bump, like the size of a marble. I get to my Dr. it was a little sore not the worst. He took a look @ it and tried to ***** it, and place a word catheter in it. I couldn't get comfortable enough and then it really got big and infected it hurt like you know what!!! I would not suggest that to you if you already hadn't got it done. It was awful. I was so sick and it hurt!!! I had my operaton the day after Christmas early in the a.m. and it looked terrible. It looked like I was a man down there it was black and blue it took a good while to be able to have relations with my husband again and now I am o.k. it's been 7 months and the tissue down there is still sore and tender with s*X. I went to the Dr. and he said it looks fine and just to try and rub it and massage it because tissue can get fluid build up and possibly another abcess. I pray that doesn't happen again. It was awful and I wouldnt' wish it on my worst enemy That was my horror story!!!

Re: Bartholin Cyst?

Thanks Kari1980.....I left mine alone & thankfully it went away. I think it was just the fluid build up....hopefully it doesn't come back.
