Question Painful ovulation and fertility.....

I have been having pain on my left side for the past 2 cycles and I am now starting to worry if this means my body is trying to ovulate and can't. Is that even possible? I am afraid now this will cause a problem trying to conceive. I am not getting the discharge that comes with ovulation just pain. My periods are normal so doesn't that mean I am ovulating? I don't know anymore what to think. I have been searching all over the internet and getting all kinds of conflicting info. Please help.

Re: Painful ovulation and fertility.....

Sometimes I get horribly debilitating cramps when I'm ovulating. They can stop me in my tracks and take my breath away. It feels like someone is stabbing me with a knife. They are called Mittelschmerz and aren't uncommon. Just take pain killers, it's all you can do.

If it's on one side, that's the side where the egg is being released, so you are ovulating.

Honestly, you don't need to be sarcastic. People don't respond unless they have advice or deal with the same thing, and pain during ovulation isn't extremely common.
