postive positive negative postive

i have taken a home pregnancy test, because i havent had my period this month, it came out postive, and so i went to the doctor and got a urine test and it came back negative, then i took another pregnancy test and it came back postive, ive taken 3 since the urine test, all postive. is there a chance that the doctor test came back with false results? is a blood test more accurate? gosh i have so many questions how long will it take to know for sure?

My oldest son(who just turned 12 yesterday) is living proof that dr's urine tests can be very wrong. I only trust blood tests myself because of that. Even though I will take hpts at home and if one shows up + I go see my dr and request a blood test. So go back to your dr and explain you keep getting + at home and want a blood test.

I agree with blastoff go back to the dr and tell whats happening at home and request a blood test the hcg level just may not be high enough yet to show up other than first morning urine... are you using first morning urine or are you testing anytime of the day? regardless i would still ask for the blood test much more accurate

Blood tests can still come back incorrect. Maybe you should ask your doctor for another blood test?

Sounds like you are pregnant!! Call your doctor and get the blood test so they can schedule you for your first appointment. Hope you're taking some prenatal vitamins. If you don't have a prescription for them yet just go to the store and buy them over the counter until your doctor can give you a prescription.

Definately go back to the doctor. I don't know about other doctors but at the office I go to they do the urine test and an internal exam with a pregnancy test. That way they can be sure they are accurate. So ask your doctor to check again and do any and all tests they can to be sure of the results. Good luck.
