pain in vagina

Hello can some one shed light on this for me please.
For the past week, I have had this pain in my vagina and in my lower tummy near the pubic bone.
When I am in bed there is no pain and when I first get up in the morning there is no pain as soon as I have a bowel movment I feel discomfort in the pelvic region and rectum area lower back pain and pain down the front of my legs.
I feel sore in the vagina and the rectum area, is this a sigh of prolaspe of the womb.
I have been through menapause and I am 59.
It feels uncomfortable to walk and sit.
Any one have any answers

Re: pain in vagina

Boomerue,

It could possibly be a rectocele with the symptoms you discribe. Which would be the rectum is bulging into the vagina. It certiantly would explain why it happens after a bowel movement. A visit to your GYN could confirm if thats what it is.

I wish you the best.
Take care, and God bless.
Annette
