Just recently after my husband and I have sex, my vulva burns for about ~20-30 minutes... peeing definitely makes it burn worse! Eventually it goes away. I think I may have a yeast infection, but there is no discharge. Just a little itching throughout the day, and the awful burning after sex.

Secondly, I picked up a 3-day yeast infection treatment. It makes the itching SO much worse! Should I just forget it and make an appt with my doctor? I don't think i can stand it much more!

It would be a good idea to make an appointment with your dr. and have it checked out.

You may just have sensitive skin on your vulva. If so, the OTC things will only make it worse. If you have a yeast infection, take the diflucan pill.

Make the doctor's appointment, see what happens. If no luck with a regular gyn, try a dermatologist.

Oh, and if you use condoms with spermicide, contraceptive film, jelly, foam, spermicidal lubricant, anything with spermicidal or nonoxynol-9 on the package, throw it away, you're probably allergic.

Thanks for the replies. We don't normally use any of those things except the occasional ky. This usually happens when we don't use it, though, so I'm wondering if it is a skin irritation.

Could be. Try using non-spermicidal lubricant every time, see if it helps.
