Could Spotting Mean Pregnancy?

I am spotting a week before my period is supposed to start. I've been taking Yaz for several months now. Could this early spotting mean I am pregnant?

Re: Could Spotting Mean Pregnancy?

When I was pregnant I had spotting exactly one week before I missed my period. It is called implantation spotting and can happen when the fertilized egg implants into the uterine wall. It can happen anywhere from 6-10 days after ovulation, or 4-8 days before you are due to start your period. Since you are on birth control though my guess is that you are not pregnant, and your body is just acting weird from the hormones. But take a test if you want...I tested positive for pregnancy 2 days after that spotting.

Re: Could Spotting Mean Pregnancy?

You could also just be spotting before your period. Happens to many women. You may get it some month and not others. And, yes spotting can also happen during pregnancy too.
