Re: why are my ovaries hurting

Go to the doctor. You may have cysts on your ovaries. He will probably want to do an ultrasound to find out what is going on. If you have been having this problem for years you should have gone to the doctor along time ago. If it is cysts and one bursts, it is very serious.

Re: why are my ovaries hurting

I've been having the same stuff and I've had it too for several years. My doctor said it is a cyst on my ovary. They do reoccur and most often go away on their own. What they worry about with bursting is mostly infection which they would just give you an antibiotic for. This causes bad pain, sometimes vomiting, chills etc. My step bro is a doctor and he says that they are a common occurance in women of childbearing age.

Don't stress just go in to the doc and they will do a look around. It was a breeze for me. They just do a normal female exam first - if you are thin they will be able to feel your ovaries by placing on hand inside of your privates and one on your abdomen where your ovaries are. They will then most likely set you up for an ultrasound which just determines how big and what kind of cyst. 97% of them are benign and cause no troubles. Some do have to be surgically removed but that is if they refuse to go away in several months or if they are just causing lots of constant pain.

Hope this helps. God bless!
