Could kegels be making uterine prolapse symptoms worse?

I was recently told my my internal medicine dr. at my annual physical that my "uterus had dropped". I had had no symptoms, except maybe some slowness when urinating, so was very surprised. I did some research and started doing bunches of kegels. I noticed after doing the kegels that I felt some burning, like maybe the kegels were pushing the uterus against my cervix (or something?). I went from having no symptoms to feeling pressure, burning, frequent need to urinate all in the 3 weeks or so since the MD mentioned it to me. The only changes are that 1. I now know my uterus has dropped, so it could be "all in my head", 2, maybe the kegels have actually irritated things, or 3, things just happened to get worse in the last 3 weeks. At any rate, I decided to stop the kegels today when I made that connection to see if it made a difference. I will probably schedule an appt. with a specialist soon if there is no improvement. Any input appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Could kegels be making uterine prolapse symptoms worse?

Did your doctor tell you exactly how to them, and advise you to do them? Maybe you aren't doing them properly?
