I've been reading some of the comments on people suffering from both vulvodynia and lichen sclerosis. I've been to 3 obgyn's and a derm. to find out what is causing my uncontrollable itching and staining/bleeding. One of the ob doc's thinks it is vulvodynia and I just saw an MD today that thinks it might be lichen sclerosis. I'm looking into seeing another ob for clarification. It seems like everytime I get symptoms I get bleeding that coincides. Just wondering if anyone else does. This first presented a year and a half ago. I thought I was done with this because over the winter I had no symptoms. This week the severe itching and bleeding came back. I use benedryl and clobetisol to relieve symtoms to a point. But I don't even know for sure which diagnosis is correct. I've been tested to STD's, diabetes, thyroid, fungal, bacterial,parasytic etc. All clear. So I'm guessing that I do have one of these two things. I also had a punch biopsy done last summer during a symptomatic time. I don't recall any mention of lichen sclerosis. That was a new one for me. Anyone that has more info fore me or can relate I'd appreciate any feedback. I am desperate!
