Question Help! I'm confused!!

Hi I'm new to this, so thanks for any help!! So I'm about 2 weeks late on my period, and here's my story: Im healthy, 25, and taken 3 pregnancy tests that have all come back negative. I have a very regular period, and I've never missed one before...not even close! I'm not on birth control either. I've had no weight gain or loss, and my diet has been steady and the same as always. I'm not stressed about anything either!(Until now, ha!) I've felt completely normal recently with nothing out of the blue. I followed the directions on the preg test carefully, too. So where is my period?? I would apprieciate any ideas or advice...I'm so confused! Thanks!!!

Re: Help! I'm confused!!

Were you taking any type of birth control? Did you have intercourse around the time you would have ovulated (usually about two weeks following your last period)? If you're two weeks late and pregnant it should be showing up on a home test but if you're really concerned, as it sounds like you are, maybe try calling you doctor and get in to see them and request a blood test (those are usually more sensitive to hormone levels). I honestly can't think of anything that would be causing you to be late but then again I'm not a doctor, sorry! Good luck!

Question Re: Help! I'm confused!!

Thanks for your quick response!! I was on birth control, but I haven't been on it since November. My cycle has been completley normal since I've been off of it. If I was pregnant and it wasn't showing up would waiting a little bit longer make a difference? If not I guess it's time to see the doc!

Re: Help! I'm confused!!

I'm not sure if waiting would make a difference...everyones body and every pregnancy is different but I would think two weeks would be enough for hormone levels to give you a positive reading. I think I would see the doctor or at least call and discuss your situation with them maybe they can ask some questions that would ring a bell as to what else it might be and they can also let you know how concerned to be. Just a thought.... have you been taking any medications or antibiotics. I'm not sure but maybe that would be a possible cause.
