| urethra caruncle?
I'm new to the board and looking for answers. About a month ago I started spotting. I'm 60 and haven't had a period since I was 49 so it scared me. I went to the gyno and he said I had a urethro lesion and I should see a Urologist. The Uro doesn't think it's cancerous but he wants to remove it because it's big and it may get in the way. He thinks it is a urethra caruncle which is benign. I, too, am a chronic worrier and I'm not scared of the surgery ( it's just a day stay procedure ) but scared that it may be cancer. I know that's very unlikely and I don't think he would have said that he didn't think it was if he was suspicious. I was wondering if anyone else had had this surgically removed? or even heard of it?
