cyst like pain back! - Women's Health Message Board

Hi everyone,
I had an ovarian cyst back in november of this year. I have been fine since then, until last night I started getting this dull pressured pain in my right side, much like the cyst pain and I am in between cycles.

My question is how do i know if its another cyst or a UTI or some other infection? Would I have a fever and discharge as well?

I am 23 and my doctor told me cysts are common at this age, what can I do to alleviate them? I was thinking about getting an IUD, will this effect them? I tried taking birth control pills, but my body cannot tolerate them.

any advise would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

sometimes its hard to tell the difference between uti pain and ovarian pain. I think your best bet is to go to the doc to make sure its not a uti and then go from there
