Too light of a period question?
Last month I had surgery to remove my gall bladder. Surgery was on Monday. I was scheduled to have my period on that Wednesday, but it was late and came on Saturday. I figured the stress on my body from the surgery likely caused it to come late. It was normal last month, just as heavy as it usually is (pretty heavy), just late.
So this month, I got my period a day early. AND, it has been really, really light. Like I'm talking hardly anything there. I'm used to having a really heavy period every time, the heaviness lasts about 4 days. But there's almost nothing since Wednesday when it started and it's already Saturday.
I had blood tests a few days before the surgery and a urine test the day of. I'm sure they checked for pregnancy because I'm sure they wouldn't do surgery without knowing for sure because that would be stupid. And I haven't had sex since the surgery. So I don't think I'm pregnant.
But I'm concerned about why it's so light this month. Do you think it's possible that my body is still trying to recover from the surgery? Would the surgery be enough reason for it to be so light?
I'm only 34 I don't think I'm going through early menopause. None of the women went through menopause until well into their 50s or something.
I guess I'm just looking for some piece of mind. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
