how to manage the pain when a ovarian cyst burst

I have severe PCOS with my first cyst bursting today and the pain was unexplainable. Eventually after quite bit of vomiting and being rushed to the emergency ward I was told what had happened. How do i manage that pain in future. The recommendation was to have my ovary removed however after suffering ovarian cancer already i only have one ovary left and as such would like to keep that whilst i try for a family. My right ovary has over 20 cysts on it (inside/outside) so I am more after thhe best way to reduce the pain. I have tried the shower/bath/hot pack etc this morming before going to hospital with nothing that would releave it. any suggestions would be greatly welcomed
