does bacterial vaganosis have a rotten smell? Not so much fishy but really disgusting smell?

I've had an infection going on for over a month now. It was og diagnosed as BV but I've used metrogel and then later I was told I had yeast but I'm pretty sure the BV has been back.

Anyway after using all this cream this and that I am really raw, my anus is so raw that the Dr. put me on some steroid cream.

OK (so and trying not to be gross here but how can I not) so I kept getting a whiff of this putrid smell and I was beginning to freak out thinking my vagina was smelling like that and while it does have a current fishy smell the aweful smell was from the anus being irritated.

Make sure first exactly where the odor is originating from.

In my experience I've only had a fishy type odor from the bacterial infection.

alot of times the cream they give you for BV is to produce growth of good bacteria I used it once and it gave me a bad yeast infection, only to then find out that I was allergic to the yeast infection meds! If you get another medicine I would strongly ask for the pill form it seems to work better without the nasty side effect.

I have discovered that my boyfriend gave me bv on my very first time i had sex, its weird cause now i have a very bad fishy odor and a discharge,the smell refuse to go away no matter how many times i washed it,i didnt know what was wrong.So, i was very concerned and went to the doc,she gave me some metronidazole pills but i have a hard time swollening them.I choke on them alot,to the point where i might throwup.I have been readin some of these posts where u have to stick the cream inside of ur vagina to the highest point, and im scared, i hate pain, so please If anybody has the next best idea of how to get rid of it please help me out,thankyou!!!

umm...its totally nasty. smell like fish, dirty socks,..and just terrible. You need taht cream to get rid of it. But even then you cant b sure its not gonna come back . I went to the doctors 3 times. He said some women have a astronger smell, and I said i had never had that. I thot it was gonna stay like that. He said it could be that , that was gonna happen. I cried....But it went away. Use the cream. Buy new panties, and prey.lol. Your gonna be fine.
