| bartholin cyst: non-operative remedy
I recently had my first experience with a Bartholin cyst. It was very large, the area was inflamed and very uncomfortable; I had no fever. I decided to try a homeopathic treatment because the medical/surgical options that I read about sounded painful and by no means guaranteed to prevent recurrence. On a board I read about Silica Complex (composed of calcium, magnesium, zinc, betaine hydrochloride, boron and horsetail leaf extract).
The posting recommended three times the daily serving size (so, 3 tablets per day) for three weeks and to continue to monitor progress for two weeks after finishing the course of tablets. While taking the remedy, I found I had significant reduction in the size of the cyst. After the two week monitoring period, I noticed that all that remained was a very small nodule. I decided to give it another two weeks before consulting a physician.
Shortly thereafter, during sex, I had a bit of bleeding and presumed the cyst ruptured. I was relieved to notice that it was gone completely. The side of my labia that had been so swollen and red was now as smooth to the touch as the other, checking with fair amount of pressure to be sure that no sign of the cyst remained. I recommend this remedy whole-heartedly in cases where there is no indication of infection (like fever).
