pap test

I had a pap test done on thursday so it's a couple of days now
I don't have periods anymore since about 14 to 16 months ago.
since I have had it done I feel a bit crampy down there, does it make a difference having a pap test done after your periods have stopped this is the first time it has bothered me, and how long should it feel like this.

Thanks

Re: pap test

Are you in menopause? I don't think it would make a difference getting a pap after your period stops. I was breastfeeding and didn't have periods for 18-20 months and had paps. I didn't feel any discomfort at all. Are you having any other symptoms? Perhaps give your doctor a call and see if it is normal.

Re: pap test

I am in menopause and this is the first one since then, it just felt different than before, and seemed to last longer feeling crampy.

Re: pap test

I've never had that happen. I haven't had periods in 7 years and I've had my pap every year. You could call your doctor and just ask.
