Belly button Shrinking (Laproscope)

I had laparoscopy surgery done to remove my ovary. The incision made at my belly button is healing but in the process my belly button is getting smaller and smaller. Has this happened to anyone else.

At the present time I stuck a marble inside it to prevent further shrinkage. It is about the size of a pea now and I am afraid I will not be able to clean it properly. It gets a sour smell now if I don't clean it every day.

I don't see the doctor for my 6 week check up for nearly 3 weeks. Anyone else have this happen. It was smaller than normal when he did the operation because of a previous surgery and I asked him if he could release the tissue while he was at it. Immediately after the surgery I was very pleased because it was a normal size. The stitches were dissolvable and there is still some left at over four weeks. I am healing but the incision has shrunk from 2 1/2 inches to about 1 in.
