I had an abortion in December of 2008. Ever since then my pap smear has been abnormal. But i never had an oder until recently august 2009. I have been tested for STD's(no). AIDS(no). BV(no). yeast(no). so why do I have a funny smelling discharge that’s light yellow? I asked my cousin if she can smell me she said no, but sometimes i can smell myself. Should I just try hydrogen peroxide? just to see if it will clear up the smell? This is annoying and I don't even wanna have sex with my boyfriend anymore (we use condoms) and he's been tested for everything he's also clean, now what?

Did you ask the gyn or PCP? I had a UTI 1x and noticed a slight odor and discharge. After it was found out through a urinalysis and i took the meds it was completely gone. I am not saying that is your issue. To be sure, you should seek medical attention. You never know, hopefully it will be something as simple as what i experienced.

Trying: Is it possible you're allergic to the condoms you're using? Sometimes people are allergic to them. Try using a different brand. You should see the doctor again if it doesn't go away. You might even want to try some probiotics or eat yogurt and see if that helps.

If its a fishy smell it could be bacterial vaginosis. A bacteria infection that happens when the bacteria builds up. It smells really bad and is curable with a vaginal cream or antibiotics. Go to your gyn.

The light yellow discharge you describe is not an abnormal color and if all the tests are negative and no one smells this smell you smell...do you think this has something psychological with the abortion??? That's what it sounds like to me. Perhaps it affected you in ways you are not aware of and it is coming out as a weird smell. Stranger things have happened to others. Maybe you need to talk that out with someone. or just time will help you overcome the 'smell' that no one smells. I am sorry that it is bothering you...if you want to use peroxide or vinegar douche go for it but it doesn't seem there is truly anything wrong.
