Re: i have firborids and stopped bleeding

Firstly, fibroids are a sign of excess estrogen. The fact your cycles appear to be messed up, plus the fibroids, shows your hormones are a mess. It's most likely that your estrogen to progesterone ratio is not balanced.

You need to speak to a doctor about having a full hormone check up and explain your issues. Too many people have hormone issues resulting in menstrual cycle issues which is just the start.

When you say you "stopped taking the pills", do you mean birth control or other pills? Some new types of BC pills are extremely high in estrogen and some are totally estrogen, this is bad if your estrogen levels are too high. Excess estrogen can lead on to other health issues and it's something that needs to be taken seriously so please speak to your doctor.

These days so many things can cause an imbalance in our hormones eg: pollution, chemicals we use inside the home, diet, lifestyle, stress, BC pills, plastics, phytoestrogen substances in foods we eat such as soy being in just about everything.

It can sometimes be difficult to find a doctor who is willing to deal with the root cause. Most times they just want to stick you on a different brand of the pill. I got fed up and went to a naturopath who was much more helpful and helped correct my cycles using a herbal mix.
