I am at my wits end....surgery is it an option?
So I just got back from the ER for the upteenth time since January. I have been dealing with severe pain in my left lower side up to the left side and lower back and it hurts so bad that it radiates into my leg. I have been dealing with this pain since Jan and have been to every Dr and had every test ran from kidney test, CTs, and ERGs from my GI Dr and primary health Dr. I have been told it is IBS and spastic colon numerous times but no meds are helping. So I finally broke down and went to the Gyn earlier this month and she diagnosed me with endometriosis. (I have had cyst in the past but we did an ultrasound and all cysts were gone as the first of this month) Well starting a couple of days ago the pain started up again and continued to get worse, I called the Gyn yesterday and she called in some pain meds that didnt touch the pain...which in turn ended me back up at the ER once again. After the normal test and another CT scan that now showed a cyst I was told what I already knew, endometriosis once again, and to follow up with my gyn...my question is: has anyone had success with the surgery for endometriosis and can it cause you to get cysts that quickly? I just know that this pain makes my life stop...I hurt so bad I cant even go to work and Im not sure how much more I can take. I cry not just because of the pain but because this is exhausting. I follow up on Friday with my Gyn and Im wondering if I should just go for the surgery. We spoke about it when I went in at the beginning of the month but I wanted to try other options. Please if you have had success with the surgery or have suggestions on relieving some of the pain I would love to hear from you.
