Hi, I have always noticed that there are two small bumps under the surface of the skin on either side of the abdomen, slightly above the "V" of the pelvis. Just within the night one of these nodes has become very swollen (right side) tender and painful to the touch. I am in the armed forces and have had a stressful week. I was expecting my period and had only gotten some light bleeding, which I attributed to this stress (I had gotten my period a couple days prior to finding this lump). Today I had some blood discharge that was not the usual dark color, it actually looked quite red and fresh. I'm not sure if the two are related, but I figure I should put everything I know on the board. Also I guess it's also fair to say that this was found early in the morning, the night before having sex was a little uncomfortable. I have had only this one partner (of over 3 years now), so an STD should not be of concern. Thank you in advance for your help.
