I've tried reading posts for answers but think some threads are worrying me more so will explain my situation and hope someone can help, sorry if it's long!
2 years ago an ultrasound found a "myoma" after intense pain and distended stomach, then transvaginal ultrasound found no myoma, so I forgot all about it. In August this year, nurse sent me for another trans vaginal after irregular and painful periods (unusual for me, always been ok, am 39years old) found "fybroid", smallish, I think they said it's hanging off uterus, no concern, just monitor and if painful start taking the pill. Last weekend intense pain and extreme distension forced me to emergency. Another ultrasound, not trans vaginal, and they said I have a 2.6cm "cyst". I know nothing more re fluid filled or what, but they said monitor it and if pain persists go on pill.
I'm living abroad but due back home next month and wondered what I should be doing regards monitoring this, how often etc. I'm now confused as to what I have (fybroid, cyst, both?) and if I should be worried. Also, I'm just very uncomfortable with the whole stomach pain, distension thing, and still waiting for period 7 weeks on. Thanks for any input.
