Angry Endometrial Ablation and fishy odor

I had the Novosure Ablation procedure several months ago and for the most part my periods have become so light that I can use pantiliners. However, since the procedure I have regular yellow to brown colored discharge with a very foul odor which seems to get heavier the week before and the week after my period (yes, I have one good week a month). I do not think this is an infection because it does it every month. My doctor thinks it will go away with time, but how much time???? Anyone else experiencing this problem and if so, how long did it last? Is there hope at the end of the rainbow??? Iam so frustrated and it is very embarassing during sex. My husband has been supportative but it's not very romantic.
