Peeing and burning... Not a uti!

Hey everyone,

I have a problem with UTIs and the symptoms of them. I got my very FIRST UTI ever almost 2 years ago and it was a full on, blood-in-pee, burning-of-death urinary tract infection! Went to the doctors and took antibiotics and it went away and was all good.

I haven't had one like that since... But since that one I occasionally get frequent urination and not as bad burning sensations. I have gone to the doctors a couple times and took anitbiotics again, but the last few times my urine tests have come back all normal.

I have noticed the burning is sometimes connected with stress, or sometimes happens for no reason.

Right now to combat it I usually chug a couple bottles of water or cranberry juice so I pee a large amount in one go (rather than a tiny stream) to flush it out... Sometimes it helps, sometimes no.

Its getting very frustrated having this on and off "kinda/but not UTI" thing...
Does anyone have any solutions/cures/ideas of other possible problems this could be... Or something that would at least help the burning go away quick?

Thanks!

Re: Peeing and burning... Not a uti!

When you go to the doctor for a suspected uti, ask for a copy of the urinalysis. I've had doctors tell me I'm fine, despite burning, frequently going, etc because it wasn't yet a "full on" uti, but I still had mucus, bacteria, etc in my urine. Never hurts to take a look at the results yourself. Also, you can buy a supplement called d-mannose and that is an excellent remedy for clearing up urinary tract infections. You take it every 2 hours for the first 2-3 days and it works pretty quick.

D-Mannose is excellent! Worked for me . I'm just sorry that I went through this for months, before accidentaly coming across it online. I HIGHLY recommend it.I also take it for maintenance. My doctor was fine with it.
