| Severe abdominal pain 10 days after period
Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone else experiences this or their doctor has given them some idea of what causes this. Mine just blew off the question as "part of your cycle".
Exactly 9-10 days after my period has started each month, I get sharp severe abdominal pain. It is not a cramping feeling. The best way to describe is to say it just feels likes someone has taken a knife and sliced horizontally from one side of my abdomen to the other. It lasts for approximately 24 hours and then disappears and is sometimes accompanied by a nauseous feeling. This has happened 3 months in a row. (prior to that I was on continuous birth control and hadn't had a period in 4 years)
My cycle average is 30 days and I believe I ovulate around 14 days, so it doesn't appear to be associated with ovulation pains.
Any thoughts on what is occurring in my cycle to cause this? Or has anyone else had a similar experience?
