period after no period for 5 years

Ehh, I thought I would pose this question since I was on this board for something else anyway.

I'm 27 years old. I haven't had a period in 5 years, but I've been afraid to get it checked out. Then suddenly I got a period a few days ago. It was normal compared to ones I have had in the past and lasted 3 days. I went to the hospital and they wouldn't even check me out because they said it wasn't concerning. I can't go to the doctor for three weeks, and my medicaid doesn't cover OBGYN.

How concerned should I be?
