Question Rectocele, Post-Surgery Bleeding

Hi All,

I had rectocele and vaginal vault surgery along with urethral sling placement two weeks ago. All procedures were done through the vaginal wall. During the first week I had almost no bleeding, just a small amount of brownish discharge that was handled fine with a panty liner. Starting on day 8 I started bleeding - bright red and regularly. It's not enough to soak through a pad in an hour, per the post-surgical "reasons for concern" paperwork. But it is continual and starting to worry me. It's now day 14 and the bleeding has let up slightly, but still requires a full pad that needs to be changed three or four times a day. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't have hardly any pain, just slight achiness that is managed fine with regular pain reliever.

Thank you!

Re: Rectocele, Post-Surgery Bleeding

Hi hope your doing better since this posting. I was told several times before leaving hospital or being discharged that if bleeding becomes bright red I'm to call the doctor immediately. I never asked why though. Hope to hear from you as these postings are so helpful to everyone.
