| Re: am i menopausal or can my levels change from one month to the next
Well you are NOT menopausal as you had the blood test taken on Day 3 so you are still having a period. Menopause occurs after ONE FULL YEAR without a period. Otherwise you are perimenopausal and that you are! The numbers during perimenopause fluctuate DRASTICALLY! One month I was in the 30's with the FSH and then the next test 75! Yes you can still conceive but the higher FSH means that the egg production has declined. oestradol is a form of estrogen. In the US, most women I believe, are tested for Estradiol. My level dropped to <15. During perimenopause, there is unfortunately no rhyme or reason to when a period can/does occur! As an example, I had one every two weeks for three months, then one six months later. Now it will be 1 year in 9 days so I am just hoping that my body holds off so I can truly be considered MENOPAUSAL. There are a lot of posts on the menopause board. And a lot of perimenopausal ladies willing to offer help and encouragement! Good luck, Hoppy
