usually I get black specks (old blood) in my discharge 3-4 days after the last heavy day of flow for my period. My period ended about a week and a half ago (including the usual 3-4 days for the normal darker blood discharge), but every time I pee, I am still seeing these black specks. I'm pretty sure it is blood because I took one and rubbed it on toilet paper and it was red.
3 days ago, I started boric acid suppositories for supposed BV that hasn't gone away in a year and a half. I'm wondering if the specks of blood are from that? I just don't know why it would last so long and I won't be able to talk to my doctor until monday. It's freaking me out a little. The first night I used the boric acid capsule i had a ton of pelvic pain. I tend to get pain when I have a lot of discharge built up.
My main symptom of the supposed (and I say supposed because no tests confirm it's an infection at all, everything is normal but lots of white blood cells and I feel miserable) is heavy discharge.
Does the old blood just take a long time to come out sometimes? Does it sound like the boric acid irritated me or something? I am taking at least 2 nights off from the suppositories because I'm scared of doing any harm to myself, but I don't know. Is it a good thing that it's getting it out? I'm so confused! Could this be a kidney or other sort of issue? IC?
Anyone have any ideas?
