Pelvic floor surgery

I had surgery for cystocele and rectocele almost 2 months ago and I can still feel the bulge!! I'm 30 and had my first baby 10 months ago. I still can't stand for long or walk. I know some people have said that it is normal to feel the bulge for a while after but is this normal?? I'm so scared the surgery hasn't been a success even though the consultant said it has and it is just still inflamed. I'd love to hear from someone who has had this surgery. Thanks.

Re: Pelvic floor surgery

Queen, I have had 2 pelvic prolapse surgeries and will have a 3rd one in June. I know with the previous surgeries, it took me close to a year to start feeling normal, whatever that is????

I had both of those done in 2007 one surgery caused other things to prolapse i currently have a rectol prolapse and the other suregeries have dropped they now say i have decending perinium syndrome what the reffer to as the underlying condition. i still have a huge buldge they say its not a rectocyle or cystocyle my whole pelvic floor collapses at this point not sure what to do to fix it going to get another opinion i would sugest you do the same it seems that the drs are still learning alot about the pelvic floor get a specialist have a defogram done not to bad or a test awkward and uncomfortable but is a great test for results one of the last test when first surgeries didnt work this test gave the most anwsers good luck
