 Heavy Periods After Endometrial Ablation
Hello-
4 years ago at age 35, I had an endometrial ablation to remove polyps that were causing horrid periods.
My periods never stopped after the ablation, but they were very light. For the past 6 months, my periods have been off the charts heavy, clot filled, long (8 days) wtih spotting inbetween cycles.
A transvaginal ultrasound found a 16mm endometrial stripe, recurrent polyp, and a simple ovarian cyst. I will go in next month for a hysteroscopy to remove the polyp. Hopefully that will solve my period issues.
Has anyone had a ablation and then had their "bad period" symptoms return? What did you do? Did you repeat the ablation?
The reason I had the ablation was to avoid all of this happening again and I don't understand- I am more frustrated than anything.
