| Hashimotos Hypothyroidism/numbness in face
Ok I am hoping that I can find someone who has or is experiencing the same thing I am because I have researched so much and have not found a thing.
I was diagnosed with Hashimotos Hypothyroidism a few weeks ago. Begun taking Armour Thyroid. Felt fine first week. Then started getting numbness in left arm. That went away. Then had it on left side of face and it would crawl, itch, move from spot to spot. Called doc, told me to continue taking it, that it was my body trying to get used to the medicine and told me to take 30mg instead of the 60. Tried that, same results. Itchy tongue and face itching and numbness in my face.
Called doc again. This time told me to stop taking it all together. Since then it is going away. They say it could be allergic reaction. I've never had an allergic reaction to meds before and it didn't sound like a typical allergic reaction symptom. I didn't think I was stroking out or anything, my face was not sagging, my speech and blood pressure fine and just was at the doctor. So please let me know if anyone ever had similar experience with Armour Thyroid. My doc switching me to Synthroid. Scared since I don't know what to expect on that either!
