Group B Strep and NOT pregnant!

Who else has it? and what are your symptoms? My gyno seems to think there should be no symtpoms and two weeks of antibiotics will help me but not get rid of it and I will have it forever. So if a baby can get this during child birth can't my husband get this during intercourse? could we be passing it back and forth?

thanks in advance for any information! I feel so desprate!

Thank you

mrsbud1994: i was just tested positive for Group B. Initially they had thought it was UTI because I had a slight burn when I urinated. I was put on antibiotics for 7 days. The slight burn is gone but I am still peeing a lot, but that is because I drink lots of water.
I was told there are no symptoms and it is not sexual transmitted unless your husband has it (which is very rare) for men to be tested positive for that.

What antibiotic were you prescribed?

Re: Group B Strep and NOT pregnant!

I also had group B strep. I actually found out I had while I had kidney stones. I was given antibiotics for it and that's all. I don't believe that I can give this to my husband as the other poster said.

Good Luck!
