Hi all, I know this sounds weird but im a little concerned. Sorry to be crude.

Ive just come off of a 13 day period, and now im having some strong period pains, im also very emotional all the time.

Any ideas?

I would see your doctor. How old are you?

Sometimes fluctuations in your hormones can cause abnormally long periods. This problem can be corrected in various ways.

However the pain may surely signify something else is going on. Last year I had a period that lasted 31 days and horrible pain. I had a doctor who told me to "get over it". My new doctor suggested endometriosis and surgery confirmed that.

There are other conditions that can cause pain like PID.

Is this a recurrent issue or this is the first time?

Thanks. I went to my doc last week and he said don't worry about it.
Im 22 and yes its the first time its happened. I don't want to seem like an immature little girl, going to my docs again over a period!!

I don't think you're immature at all.

I believe your doctor may be waiting for your next cycle, sometimes issues like these can correct themselves with your next cycle.

However if you are feeling truly sad, you may want to discuss this with your doctor.

Was there any chance of pregnancy or std? (sorry to be nosy)

Well Me and my partner have been trying to concive, but i thought that having a period and for as long as i did there would be no chance of pregnancy?
