Implantation bleeding?

Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone could offer any insight.

I am four days late, and have had some brown/pinkish discharge with a little bit of dark blood. I have some mild cramping in my abdomen and i'm also pretty bloated. No sign of my actual period yet. This is the first time being late I've had since becoming sexually active.

We have always used protection and I am also on birth control (although I am not always so dutiful in taking it on time.) So the risk would be small, but you never know.

I had read about implantation bleeding before, so I was wondering if this sounds like that to anyone. The only other symptoms I've been having for the past couple weeks is lack of appetite, feeling kind of tired.

Any insight would be great, thanks!

Re: Implantation bleeding?

i wish i could tell you about implantation bleeding..but i myself am not too sure about that experience.

But i can offer insight on getting pregnant while taking bc and using a condom.

i am apprx 8 weeks along. ...yup... using ocella birth control, and used a condom... i read somewhere that apprx 1 to 2% of women have sperm residue inside of them even after having sex with the guy wearing a condom...its such small chances. but...if they have these statistics then it must happen enough to talk about lol.

I hope someone can offer more insight to the implantation bleeding.

Re: Implantation bleeding?

I had implantation bleeding the day my period was due. It depends on when you ovulate. Some women ovulate later in their cycle, so implantation occurs later.

Re: Implantation bleeding?

Thanks for your responses, I did take a pregnancy test and it was negative. As it turns out the cause of my missed period was PID.
