Hi You will want a pregnancy test first if you have an active partner. I discovered by keeping a journal that sometimes certain foods can do this. For me the foods were spinach, corn, beets and peanut butter. I seldom used them unless I was close to 10 days late. It was better for me to try on the 28th cycle day no sooner no later so the period isn't as painful if you have problems. I seldom tried to start my own though, it just seemed to make it more painful. These foods used to cause bleeding between my period so I found that to eat these I usually waited until day 3 or so. Certain herbs are also known to do this.
