strange changes. Help Please!! (kinda long, sorry)
Hi, I'm 18 years old, and about 7-8 weeks ago, I got a slight cold that lasted about a week. To this day, I still blow my nose every few minutes, and the mucus is still thick, and ranges from dark yellow with a foul smell, to a lighter yellow with no smell, and clear with yellow specks.
Also last month, my period which is usually 7 days, only lasted for 6. This isn't a big difference, but the next month (this month), my period was a day late, and then again went off only after 6 days. I usually get sore breasts the day before it starts, and I get period like cramps the day of. But this time I had sore breasts and nipples about 2 weeks before it started, and period like cramps a week before. (Id literally run to the bathroom armed with a pad because I was certain that it had started). When my period did start (a day late as I stated before) I suffered from 3 different types of cramps. The first set were normal menstrual cramps that radiated from the usual spot (the middle of my lower abdomen), the second set were very sharp quick pains in my vagina (birthing canal, i guess. I dont know the 'scientific' name for it), and the third set radiated from where my ovaries are as if I was ovulating. The cramps were so bad, I couldn't eat, talk, or even walk; I couldn't do anything but lay down and cry. And the medicine I usually take for menstrual cramps (over the counter extra strength tylenol), wouldn't work.
For the past week, I've randomly become overheated, and suffered from headaches, and nausea (im actually nauseous right now) throughout the day. My breasts are still sore, and my nipples are still sensitive.
I've typed all this out because I've been worried sick about my overall health. I haven't talked to my doctor yet because she usually just pushes things off to the side, and doesn't hear out everything that's going on. I'd like to know if maybe all these things are linked together? Like maybe a hormone thing? Or maybe they aren't linked at all?
Please help, if you can. Any answers are better than none at all. Thank you so sooo much.
