I've posted some of this (there's more to it now) on the ttc board with no luck, so I'm hoping people here will have some advice.
In the past few weeks I've had some comments about being pregnant. My best friend asked me a few weeks ago if I was pregnant. She said I looked like I did when I was pregnant with my daughter. Then a week later a woman asked me when I was due. Then last Saturday, I was buying some fruit at the farmer's market, and instead of giving me my $.94 in change, the cashier (an older man) gave me a dollar back and told me to save six pennys for the baby. My period was due anytime between monday and tomorrow (my periods have been every 22- 28 days), but I've had no pms. I started spotting yesterday with light cramping, which is not normal for me. This is totally unusual for me; I usually have bad pms, bad cramps, and a heavy period in the beginning. I was really sure I was pregnant until I started spotting, and I know that I could still be pregnant. The comments I've had really made me think I'm pregnant, and I guess I could be either 3 weeks or 7 weeks (my last period was 6 days early). I just don't know what to think now. Anyone have any thoughts, opinions, advice?
Do a test. How many other children have you had? Every pregnancy is completly different and you can but quite alot more bloated on second or thrird etc pregancies. Just because thing have stretched and changed and there is more room this time.
Thanks basswife. I'm gonna take one in the morning, i'm also going to the ob/gyn tmrw. I have a 6 yr old daughter, and I had an ectopic pregnancy 3 yrs ago. With the ectopic, i had no symptoms at all, i only knew cuz i was late. If I am pg, I'm hoping its different then when I was pg with my daughter. i was so uncomfortable the 2nd half of my pregnancy, i even had pregnancy hives during the last 6 weeks.
I was VERY ill in my first pregnacy, so much so that my son and I were on the critical list for a while. I got terrible sickness, bloating then to cap off a stressful pregnancy pre-eclampsia. Yet with my girl no problems. I sailed through and hardly knew I was pregnant. I was showing very early first time and stayed very thin the second one. So don't worry and go on your past experiences, if positive, put yourself in the hands of the professionals and try to relax about it. If not, you know your body, if you feel something is not quite right, go and see your doctor. Let me know how you get on
