Unhappy Breast issue?

One day, when I took a shower, I noticed a lump on my breast. Nothing too big, just on the areola. When I pinched it, a whiteish-clear discharge came out of the areola, right by the nipple. Is this cancer, or something else? Should I be worried? It's been 2 or 3 weeks and it hasn't gotten better or gone away!

Re: Breast issue?

This is 100 per cent normal. I'm assuming you're talking about a small bump (sort of like a pimple, but the same colour as your nipple) on the areola?

These are just large glands (also called Montgomery Glands). If you keep on squeezing it, then it will keep producing that whitish substance and can possibly get infected.

This may help you feel a little at ease: [deleted]

Any bumps/lumps that aren't surface like that (for instance, a feeling of thickness in a section of the breast that isn't on the other one) should be checked by a Doctor. But THESE glands are not cancer!

Re: Breast issue?

Well... the lump is more inside the areola, and not really on top. I have to press on it to feel it. It's not on the other breast, either.

Personally, I say get everything checked out.

What is the texture like?

How did the white fluid come out if it is inside your areola? Does it come to the surface?

The texture is sort of rough, and bumpy. I pinched the odd bump from the outside... Sort of pushing it to the surface... I can't see it but I feel it. The white fluid comes out when I push the bump to the surface.

What you are describing sounds like a form of gland that manifests itself a little differently than normal.

I recommend going to the doctors for an examination, or alternatively calling her and send a description/photographs if you feel uncomfortable or cannot easily get to a doctors office.

I would also recommend keeping an eye on it. Is it newly occurring? Changes aren't necessarily bad, but they are important to watch out for and let your doctor know about. Any changes to its current state should also be noted down.

Are you pregnant? Have other issues? Often times, glands can become more pronounced when pregnant (although plenty of other bodily changes can also cause glands to become bigger/change).

Stay calm .

I'm not pregnant, and don't really have any other issues, unless you were to count allergies. It's a fairly new thing, I suppose. I noticed it about 2 or 3 weeks ago. The liquid came maybe about a week ago. I'll keep an eye on it, and if it doesn't go away, or if it gets worse, I'll go to the doctor.
