Cervical Position Backwards?

Me and my husband are trying to concieve. This is kind of embarassing, but I am really worried! This cycle I started checking my cervical position. When I am in my unfertile phase it's low and firm, seems normal. But when I am in my fertile phase my cervix is high and soft, which is great, but the opening seems to be facing my back. It feels like it's up against my vaginal walls. So if this is the case, how can any sperm get in there if the opening is facing my back? I am really really worried! Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Am I going to be able to concieve? Please Help, I am so worried!

Sincerely Danyel

Re: Cervical Position Backwards?

Hi from one newbie to another.
I read once that the best position to concieve is with the womans legs back and high up like on his shoulders. Ouch, can anyone say yoga? I hope that this helps.
God Bless You and yours

Re: Cervical Position Backwards?

It takes a bit to get use to correctly feeling the position of the cervix. I highly doubt yours is that extreme, your doctor would have said something if he/she noticed something like that. Think about it if that were true for you then pelvic exams would be hard for your doctor to do since they do look and take samples from the cervix.
Sounds like you are actually feeling is the edge of your cervix and not the center. The few times I started noting my CP I had to feel around a bit to get use to it. I also had DH check to see how it felt to him and to make sure I was hitting the right spot.
Though if youa re truly worried go see your doctor and explain that you are ttc and that you think there might be something wrong with the position of your cervix. He/she will do an exam and tell you for sure what is going on.
