Does anyone have any advice or can get me in the direction for information?....I am starting to have more frequent episodes where it feels like my insides are falling out of my vagina. The gyno said everything looked fine???? It is bulging down in that area and it looks really funny....like my lips are really spreading apart and they stay open during this time. Not very attractive I might add!
Has anyone heard about the bladder doing this or what else could it be? Is it strictly the female stuff that would be causing it? Why would the gyno say it looks fine; should I go in there when it is bulging and show her? Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
hi there! i had this happen about 3 years ago. i freaked out but my gyno said all was fine, too. it was a touch distressing but eventually it did go away. it could also have something to do with your bladder. are you having any trouble in that area? kim.
It sounds like the beginning of a prolapse of your uterus or bladder. Try doing kegel exercises to stop it progressing. Your doctor/Gyno can tell you how to do these exercises -- which are basically a contraction of the muscles you also use to stop the flow of urine.
Thanks for the replies...I really don't know what is the problem...bladder, female parts or IBS. The pelvic pain I get is mostly right in the middle & above the pubic area. It is painful to push there as well. I went to a uro a year or so ago and he said I was fine. But I wasn't having the falling out feeling then. I also get painful intercoarse at certain times and my husband says he can feel himself hitting something and it bothers him as well. How do I find out what it is? I'm requesting the referral for the uro and gi doctors now. How do they determine if the bladder is falling out? I'm suppose to have a pelvic ultrasound tomorrow (gyno wants to cover her butt), would that show it? Thanks for writing...have a good day! Oh Kim, what is a "touch distressing"?
[This message has been edited by DMS (edited 04-04-2002).]
