any one suffer with bad kidneys when due period ??
hi there, i am 21 yrs old, suffer with anxiety and i got polycystic ovary syndrome (tiny cysts on ovarys) thing is i have a few questions hoping for someone to be the same as me as i freak out easily... ok..
does any one suffer with pain in their kidneys when you are due your period?
when i am due on, my kidneys are very sore, down lower back, abdomin is sort of sore but ok, i can handle that, its my kidneys i am worried about, i cant stop drinking, and my lower back is killing me, i used to take ibrupafen as thats the only painkiller that works for me, but i just started zoloft 25mg for my anxiety and says not to take anti flamm painkillers such as ibrupafen.. please any one help me...

i have strange things happen to me when i have my periods. I also get pain in the kidneys and ribs, but maybe you should see a doc to rule anything bad out. I'm pretty sure its nothing especially if its related to your periods, but check it out anyway.

It is not uncommon to get stomach pain and back pain with your periods. If you have a slight retroversion of the uterus, then back pain is more common.
It is also not uncommon to get a urine infection with periods that could also explain the pain. The openings are not far apart and bacteria from one can spread to the other and cause infection. Also, if you use tampons, then infection is more likely.
Also, pain like this could be related to your PCOS and especially if your become excessively thirsty too. Are you on any meds for this such as Metformin?
Kidney pain does not necessarily mean that you have a kidney infection.
