how soon would you miss your period?

How soon after you have sex do you miss your period if you got pregnant? Would you miss your period the very next cycle after you have sex, or does it take longer. Also, how early can you take a blood test to confirm a pregnancy?

Re: how soon would you miss your period?

It depends on your cycle. If it is a short cycle or off cycle then you may not miss the first period right after getting pregnant.
As for the blood test that can be done about a week to two weeks after conception. Again that would depend on your doctor because some like to give it two weeks to allow the hormones time to increase.

Re: how soon would you miss your period?

Usually the first sign of pregnancy is a missed period, alot of times the cycle during conception. However, some women do experience bleeding due to implantation that they mistake for their normal period.
